As you may or may not have noticed, when you make a post under your name is a place called "Bytes" that has a number next to it. This is a system that is set in place to help you recognize which of our members are more credible than others. When someone does something to help another forum member, posts a great piece of news or software or does anything else that deserves a thank you this person will earn a byte.

The more bytes you have the more you have helped out here at Pc Tech Land.  Everyone starts out with 0 bytes and must earn more.

If for some reason a member has negatively effected the forum or another user in any way, then they will have a byte taken away. A negative byte count will help you determine who is just causing trouble and who is here to help. 

You must have a total of 20 posts before you can give or take bytes. This is to make sure people don't just join the forum and start stealing bytes from everyone. We hope that with this limit only legitimate members will get to the point where they can reward bytes.

Thank you for taking the time to read up on our "cred" system. We hope you are enjoying the forum and be sure to post, you never know when you might earn a byte or two.

Yes but, you have enough bytes to count pretty high I mean 1 byte = 8 bits, 8*6=48 you have 48 bits which 1 2 4 8 16 32 64 128 256 512 1024 that's just 11 bits, you keep doubling all the way to 48 you get... well I'm not going to go through the work to figure it out but, it's pretty high.

Oh and yes I realize that the list of numbers is backwards, ah counting in binary, so much fun.
