«
on:
March 09, 2011, 07:01:27 PM »
Ok, so i want to jailbreak my iPhone 4.
i want to know if when i jailbreak it and then backup the JAILBROKEN one, will this save my actual jailbreak?
because if i decide if want to unjailbreak it, i want to just be able to restore my backup what i made when the device WAS jailbroken.
thanks in advance

As far as I know, it won't.
Semi-off-topic: Why would you ever unjailbreak it?

Actually there is a program called Ifunbox (or something like that) and you can download EVERYTHING off your iPhone then you jailbreak it and if something goes wrong just use the program and drag all your stuff back over.

Backing up via iTunes will not save the actual jailbreak. There have been reports that plist changes can stay (like if you're on an iPod Touch and you enable Battery Percentage with a plist edit, it could stay even if you restore from backup without jailbreaking again).
