I use linux mint 8, Its based off of unbuntu, but it comes with all the codecs and a menu and a more xp like taskbar.

A bunch of us use Ubuntu and Mint. Good OS, just too complicated to do much gaming.

For you guys that don't know, you can download the operating system completely free, burn it to a CD and Boot it directly from the CD - just to try it out - no installing anything.
