Actually, I re-read his post, but I disagree about them lasting longer. I used the same computer for atleast 8 years. All I changed was the video card, everything else stayed. It still works and I still use it today. I have some older ones that still work sitting in the garage. I don't think paying that extra money for a Mac is at all justifiable, PC's do everything better.

Plus, you can get a uber awesome PC and then install Kalyway OS X on it so it is a dual boot Windows and Mac. Problem solved Smiley lol

And if you really want to run OS X, you could! I actually tried that at one point... Screwed up my partitions twice and I had to reformat... twice... Not fun. Haven't tried with my new PC though, don't really know if I will or not. I think I threw away my CD's.

Mac are so high because there name and macs are used for high end Professional businesses

Where? Can you give support of this? Almost every major business uses Windows products. The market share of Macs are BARELY above Linux, and we're not even considering the servers. You might think that it's for film production or audio recording, but those are only for small-medium scale use. I work at a movie theatre, and I have to watch all of the movies every year. Every production does not thank Apple, but rather Windows.

It would be a lot cheaper, because i was talking with a guy from the Apple store and he said the main cost was the Software.

That's not true, because they are selling Snow Leopard for less than $30 USD. The hardware is junk, and you can buy the same hardware specs on a pre-loaded windows OS PC for a fraction (like my computer was 1/3) of the cost.

Therefore, it's gotta be the nice apple logo. I guess it's a trendy fashion style these days.

Actually Pc does and can have the same hardware as a mac but you got to admit, a macbook 's hardware will always be lighter than pc.

LOL all the more reason to buy a mac.......................................not
nih in maryland is completely mac how many people work there?
