I tried to install the iPC OSX86 (Leopard 10.5.6) on my PC, but I get the following error when I try to run the setup: "Still waiting for root device". If I don't do -v on the boot options, I get a circle with a diagonal line through the middle over the Apple logo.

This DVD worked in VMWare, what's the problem?

Imgburn at the lowest speed possible. It's not a media problem, it installed perfectly in VMWare, it's just not working on my computer for some reason. I did some reading, and apparently I need to mess with my IDE slaves and stuff.

You know Davey did a tutorial on how to install it but i see you are using ipc : / I think your best bet is to wait until davey gets to see the problem, I'm no good with OSX on Pc

Did you make sure that you got a version that supports AMD processors? Also, are you trying to dual boot by installing it on a hard drive with data on it?

I'm fairly sure the AMD thing isn't a problem with this one, and the triple-booting I'm going to be doing isn't even a problem yet, as I can't even get to the installer GUI.

Like I said, it said something about jumper cables and IDE stuff. Something needs to be a master, but it isn't right now.

They're all the same thing... They just have different drivers and stuff on the DVD's.

It works in VMWare (It installed and all works fine), but when I actually boot from it on my Physical computer, it gives me that error.
