You can use an ethernet cable to do that, or you can use a USB cable.

I believe you need a crossover cable to do this. Not entirely sure on that one though.

I just googled and it seems like you do need a crossover cable.

to share an internet connection you just need an ethernet cable, on the main computer that is connected online turn on internet connection sharing

go to network connections right click your main connection go to properties and i think its under advanced... i do believe its the last tab... but you will find it under properties in your connection

then just plug the other end of your cable from the main pcs network interface card (nic) to the other pc and it should get an ip from the other computer

i do this all the time from my pc to my laptop and it works great if you want to share files you will have to turn on file and printer sharing as well if you need help with that i can help you later or hopefully someone that isnt at work and at a pc can help you sooner

good luck

yeah i used to tether my xbox before it went out on me i wouldnt use wifi for gaming anyway cable is more reliable and the speeds are more consistent i hate the fact that the wii only comes with wifi and its what 100 bucks for the ethernet adapter? i have tried many many 3rd party adapters and none work... doesnt matter anyway i have had the wii since christmas and its been on a total of maybe an hour

gotta get me one of the new slim xbox 360s

Ok and yeah I'm double posting... get over it....

What version of Windows are you using?

Anyway you should be able to just go back to the properties of your connection then go to networking and turn on file and printer sharing...

then open windows explorer and find the folders you wish to share, right click, then go to the sharing tab and check "share this folder" i don't remember exactly what it says but you'll know it when you see it

then to find your files go to my computer and you should see your other pc in there if not at the top click on tools then folder options then the view tab and make sure automatically search for shared folders and printers is selected

you have to move all the files you want to share into a folder because you can only share folders not individual files or if you want which isn't recommended but you can share the root of the drive but that does cause a bit of a security risk if you are using wifi... make sure you are using good encryption

ummm yeah so it's been a while since i've done this so if something isn't right let me know and i can hook up my two pc's on a network and sort it out for ya
