Uhhh... Well, something should be there. Look around in that folder for some sort of log file having to do with SoftTH

i havent read the whole thread but have you tryed updating you video card like buying a new one  that my help it work

Ohhh, right. Let's see. When you downloaded SoftTH, there should have been "d3d8.dll, d3d9.dll, SoftTH.cfg, and SoftTH_hook.dll".

You replace your CFG with mine, and edit the Resolution.

Make sure ALL of the files listed above are in the same directory as the EXE file for the game.

Then... start the game and let me know how it goes. That's worked for me and all of my Source engine (Portal, Counter-Strike: source, etc) games.
