AMD Kills the ATI brand

AMD has officially killed the ATI graphics company. They have been shut down due to lack of interest. Does this mean that NVIDIA has a monopoly in the graphics industry? What will happen to Xbox 360's (they run an ATI card)?

I'm pretty sure that was more of a merge than a killing-off. There's no way they'd just give Nvidia the graphics-industry-monopoly.
