KB971033, Update for Windows Activation Technologies, will be added to all Windows copies via Windows Update if you are set to automatic updates. This will check for false activation methods and serve as an anti-piracy update.

If you're smart enough to pirate Windows on your own, you'd probably turn off Automatic Updates so that kind of thing wouldn't happen... Well, I did atleast.

I've seen certain methods that if you did them right (not really a crack, but more of an installation method...), then it allows updates. Won't name them on here, though...
