Lenovo has come out with one pretty innovative idea... (get it) the IdeaPad U1 is a laptop with one really really cool feature. The screen is removable and becomes a touchscreen Tablet PC instantly. The laptop itself is running Windows and the tablet PC is running Linux.  The screen has a separate battery and processor, not sure what flavor of Linux it will be running, hopefully you can specify which distro you would like. It is priced at a whopping $999 but, for what you are getting and if it is reliable and works the way it is intended that's not a bad price at all.

The specs and all that can be found here:

So what would happen If I were to lose the computer and kept the screen? Can I still charge the screen?
